A: No, our production facilities are completely nut and peanut free.


Q2: Are your products gluten free?

A: No, we use enriched untreated wheat flour in all our products, which contains gluten.


Q3: What allergens do your products contain, and is there a risk of cross-contamination?

A: Any allergens that are present or risk being present in our products are clearly indicated in the ingredient list. Be sure to check these labels frequently, as changes may have occurred at any time.

All La Petite Bretonne products are manufactured in nut- and peanut-free facilities. This is also clearly indicated on all our packaging. Since our products are certified BRC (an internationally recognized food quality standard), we implement strict and comprehensive procedures in order to ensure our products’ safety.

The allergens that are present in our manufacturing facilities are: Wheat, Egg, Soy, Milk

PLEASE NOTE: If you have a food allergy, it is important that you always read food labels before consuming any products, as allergen lists can change at any time.


Q4: Is the enzyme used in your manufacturing animal or vegetable based?

A: Neither. The enzyme is fungal based.

Q6: What can I do if the product I purchased does not meet my expectations?

A: La Petite Bretonne’s first priority is ensuring the quality of all our products. We work continuously to offer the highest quality products. Should any product not meet your expectations, please complete the form in the “GET IN TOUCH” section of this website by filling in all mandatory fields. Someone from our customer service will contact you within 24 to 48 business hours.

In order to process your product issue more quickly, please have on hand the product packaging and production code, which is often found on the bread clip.


Q7: Is your packaging recyclable?

A: All our cardboard boxes and packaging are recyclable.

All our plastic bags and containers are recyclable where facilities exist. Recycling guidelines differ from one centre to the next, and it’s best to ask your municipality to confirm whether or not the type of plastic we use in our packaging can be recycled in your area.


Q8: Can I freeze your products?

A: You can freeze any products made by La Petite Bretonne for up to nine months. The organoleptic quality of certain products may be mildly affected by the freezing process, however in general our products will preserve their original taste and texture.


Q9: What is the shelf life of your products?

A: The shelf life of our products varies depending on the type of product manufactured. Please refer to the “Best By” date stamped on the bread clip or printed on our packaging.


Q10: Are your products certified Kosher?

A: All products manufactured by La Petite Bretonne are certified Kosher by Montreal Kosher (MK-Dairy).


Q11: Are your products certified Halal?

A: None of our products have Halal certification.
